FMC India has reached yet another milestone in its digital transformation with the recent launch of a Farmer Application, available on mobile phones through both Android and Apple app stores.
The FMC India Farmer App is a one-stop shop for farmers to access crop-related information, including FMC solutions to their crop challenges and crop nutrition needs, location of the nearest authorized retailer, prevailing agricultural produce market prices and even the local weather forecast. Backed by a multi-lingual 24x7 toll-free helpdesk, the app is currently available in English, although plans are underway to avail it for local languages in the third quarter of 2021. The India team is also working on additional features like loyalty program and authenticity validation as next stage development.
FMC India sees the introduction of the Farmer App as a perfect complement to its growing social media presence on Facebook and YouTube, as well as its new website (ag.fmc.com/in) which was re-launched recently with a new look.
The team is currently working on popularizing the app in the farming community through its social media platforms and by good old word-of-mouth.
