Community Engagement and Development is integral part of FMC’s commitment towards Sustainability & Corporate Social Responsibility. We work with rural and sub-urban communities in various parts of the country, helping them with better accessibility to resources for improving their health and living standards. Besides the rural community, our special focus is on the communities living around our manufacturing plants.

FMC India has a state-of-the-art manufacturing plant at Panoli, Gujarat. We have taken up several initiatives to contribute towards the upliftment of the social infrastructure around the plant which will further help to improve the accessibility of resources. Some of our recent work includes donation of computers at the nearby village school, installation and donation of borewell for fresh potable water, sponsorship of sports tournaments and up-gradation of village mini-stadium. We’ve also taken the responsibility to develop a green belt at the entrance of the industrial park. The maintenance of the lawns, plantation of trees and shrubs, installation of water sprinklers, paving joggers’ track and maintenance of a water recharge pond in the belt will be taken care by FMC. We regularly organise other activities such as tree plantation drives, installation of benches in the village, food packet distributions to migrant workers etc. also in the vicinity.

Panoli site is FMC’s first manufacturing site that has sourced 15% of its energy requirement through a 50 MW Solar plant at the site. We aim to source more from Solar energy and reduce our carbon footprint further.

With such initiatives and more welfare focused projects in the pipeline we’re committed to take engagement with our communities to the next level and contribute in the development of our ecosystems.
