In case you missed it, we thought we’d re-post something from our social media feed.
If you’re shopping for a drone, consider the Mavic Mini by DJI. It’s under 250 grams which makes it small enough that you don’t need a license to fly in Canada (although there are still drone-flying rules that you should Google). It’s got a good camera and a good gimble, which reduces vibration and keeps your camera level while you zoom around. And it’s got a good battery life.
Downsides are that it’s less stable in windy conditions and that you can’t add other tools like an NDVI imaging camera, which can measure the health of vegetation.
But for the price and to get a bird’s eye view of the world, it’s perfect.
