The registration change to lambda-cyhalothrin that prompted the recall of key insecticide brands like Matador® 120EC and Voliam Xpress® created a significant gap and concern for Canadian growers.
In response to this urgent market need, we are in the process of producing 3X to over 4X the volumes of our key insecticide brands compared to 2022 usage.
RealAgriculture.com covered FMC’s response to the lambda-cy story two weeks ago. Read more about the issue and the steps FMC took to help ensure growers have supply options for controlling insects like flea beetles in canola.
We’ve significantly increased production on the following insecticides:
- Pounce® 384EC insecticide: High performing insecticide for control of striped and crucifer flea beetles as well as cutworms.
- Coragen® MaX insecticide: 3X more concentrated than original Coragen® insecticide for easier handling and increased sustainability. Provides consistent, long lasting control of grasshoppers, cutworms, bertha armyworms, diamondback moths and more.
- Carbine® insecticide: NEW Fast acting, selective, extended aphid control with minimal impact on many important beneficial insects and pollinators*.
- Cygon® 480-AG insecticide: Reliable wheat midge, aphid, lygus bug and spider mite control.
