How Compatibility Testing Works
Seed treatment compatibility tests are conducted by Novonesis to ensure that inoculants remain
effective when used alongside registered pesticide seed treatments.
Each inoculant is tested with different seed treatments using a variety of application methods
across specific crops.
Application Methods
Sequential Application
• Apply the pesticide seed treatment first. Let it dry completely before applying the inoculant
Simultaneous Application
• Apply both the pesticide seed treatment and inoculant at the same time but use separate
applicators
Tank-Mix Application
A tank-mix refers to the practice of adding the inoculant directly into another product (pesticide,
fertilizer, biological) in the tank together and making a single application whether it is on the
seed or in the field.
Timing Matters:
Follow the product labels for how long the tank-mix can sit before being applied to seed.
