Product Overview
Get a head start on next spring with Focus® NXT herbicide. Applied post-harvest with glyphosate, Focus® NXT herbicide combines Groups 2, 9, 14 and 15 to control emerged broadleaf weeds while providing extended control or suppression of grassy and broadleaf weeds the following spring.
The Group 2, 9 and 14 actives strengthen fall burnoff of weeds including kochia, flixweed, stinkweed, wild buckwheat and volunteer canola. Group 15 activity provides extended control of weeds including downy brome, Japanese brome and cleavers, with suppression of wild oats, kochia and other key weeds.
With multiple modes of action, Focus® NXT herbicide also supports resistance management while helping give spring wheat a cleaner start. Applied to the soil surface in the fall, the extended-control active is moved into the soil by rainfall or snow, putting residual weed control in place for the following spring.

- Apply with glyphosate in the fall to control labelled emerged weeds and provide extended control of certain broadleaf and grassy weeds
- Apply at 66 ac per case
- Must be applied with glyphosate
- Apply only once per 12-month period. Do not use in successive years at the same site
- Do not follow a fall application of Focus® NXT with a spring application of products containing sulfentrazone or pyroxasulfone
- Do not follow a preplant application of Focus® NXT with a post-emergence application of another product containing florasulam
- Focus® NXT herbicide controls broadleaf weeds at burndown and broadleaf and grassy weeds germinating within the soil barrier
Soil parameters:
- DO NOT use on peat or muck soils and soils with 7% or more organic matter content.
- DO NOT use on soils with a pH greater than 7.8.
- DO NOT apply to soils classified as sand containing less than 3% organic matter. Focus NXT® herbicide is intended for use on soils with more than 3% organic matter.
Water volume: 10 gal/ac
Activation: 15 to 25 mm (min 1/2 inch) of rainfall required, at once.
Required tank mix: Glyphosate
Timing: Post-harvest
Surfactant: Not required
Water volume: 10 gal/ac (100 L/ha)
Mixing instructions: Fill spray tank one-half to two-thirds full of water. With agitator operating, add the recommended amount of ingredients using the WAMLEGS order.
Mixing Order: Add Spitfire® 50 SC herbicide – Add Focus Herbicide – Fill spray tank with water – Add Glyphosate
Crop rotation: 12 months: barley, canola, peas
If there is a lack of adequate or normal soil moisture due to drought conditions, especially in June, July and August, following an application of Focus® NXT herbicide, the minimum rotational crop interval described above must be extended for one additional year and a representative bioassay of the field must be conducted with the potential rotational crop and adequate soil moisture to determine the crop sensitivity to Focus® NXT herbicide.
