Product Overview
BioniQ deploys multiple modes of action — Penicillium bilaiae, Bacillus amyloliquefaciens and Trichoderma virens — to solubilize all forms of phosphorus and increase nutrient availability for cereal and canola crops.
-
Bacillus amyloliquefaciens and Trichoderma virens help increase availability and uptake of nitrogen, phosphate, and potassium, supporting root and shoot growth.
-
Penicillium bilaiae helps release bound mineral forms of soil and fertilizer phosphate, making it more readily available for the plant to use.
Early vigour. If early-season phosphate availability is limited, it can reduce early-season growth and, ultimately, crop yield. Early spring conditions, including cool soils, are difficult on plants, especially when phosphate is not available. Because BioniQ is active under these conditions, phosphate availability is improved when your cereal and canola plant need it.
Greater stress tolerance. Plants with larger healthy root systems can better withstand various stresses like drought and weed pressure. Healthy root systems help cereal and canola plants access moisture and nutrients more efficiently. BioniQ increases phosphate availability in all areas of the soil that the root explores, not just around the fertilizer band, which helps promote more root growth.
The following graphs (from University of Manitoba research), show the increase in uptake of phosphate throughout the growing season when using Penicillium bilaiae on wheat.
