INTRODUCING

The Barrett Rankin Memorial Scholarship: Supporting future leaders in agriculture

At FMC Canada, we believe in empowering the next generation of agricultural leaders, which is why we have established the Barrett Rankin Memorial Scholarship. We want to support students pursuing post-secondary education in agriculture at the University of Saskatchewan, the ones who are driven to grow, learn and contribute meaningfully to the ag industry and to their communities.

Barrett Rankin shared that same belief. Raised on a farm in central Saskatchewan, Barrett was passionate about agriculture, education and people.

After high school, he gained hands-on experience at Flexicoil before attending the University of Saskatchewan, where he earned degrees in Agriculture and Agribusiness. His studies took him around the world—from Sweden to Ethiopia—and his career brought him across Western Canada through roles at Bayer, Syngenta, BASF and FMC.

This scholarship honours his legacy by helping students access opportunities to build their own path in agriculture by gaining knowledge, establishing friendships, and building experiences that shape a lifelong contribution to the industry.

Apply here today and take the next step in your agricultural journey.
