Potato
Potato (Solanum tuberosum) is a vegetable known for its starchy tuber. It is a perennial plant that belongs to the nightshade family, Solanaceae. Potato is usually reproduce from seed potatoes, small tubers or pieces of seed tubers sown to a depth of 5 to 10cm and grown on range of soils from sandy to clay loam. Potatoes prefer soils with a pH of 5.5 to 7.0 and low salinity.
