FMC corporation has appointed two national key account managers, James Howat and Matthew Martin, to strengthen its UK commercial team.
Both James and Matthew have a wealth of experience in agriculture, and are looking forward to joining FMC as key account managers.
James Howat previously worked for a national distributor as a farm trader and agronomist, and more recently for another crop protection company.
“I’m incredibly excited to join a company that’s shaping the future of agriculture,” says James. James explains that being part of a company that has a strong reputation for innovation and commitment to supporting farmers with solutions that make a difference on farm was very appealing.
“The chance to be a part of a team that brings new technologies forward that support growers, and delivers more sustainable solutions is incredibly exciting,” adds James.
Matthew Martin, who has previously held positions as an agronomist, regional agronomy manager and account manager within the industry, says he is very much looking forward to joining the FMC team.
“Joining a company that’s progressive, continually expanding its portfolio with an exciting pipeline of products was something that stood out to me.
“The launch of Fundatis® herbicide, powered by Isoflex® active, this autumn is very exciting and something I am keen to quickly learn more about to help growers get the best from the product.”
With the depth of experience Matthew has gained over the years, he also believes that he can make a difference in his new position as key account manager.
“Driving the business forward with previous relationships I’ve built along the way is something that’s really important to me,” he concludes.
Business director for northern Europe, John Hutton, is delighted with the new appointments.
He says: “It’s fantastic to have James and Matthew join us. Their skills, knowledge, and enthusiasm will no doubt add great value as FMC continues to grow.”
Both James and Matthew start their new roles in October.
