Pineapple

Pineapples (Ananas comosus) belong to the family Bromeliaceae grow as a small shrub, with individual flowers that form multiple edible fruits. It is normally propagated thru plant offset produced at the top of the fruit or side shoot that matures within a year.

Pineapple fruit and juice is being used in different cuisines, it can be eaten raw or used in cooking savory dishes or in desserts making.

In Philippines, pineapple is one of the most important agricultural produce in terms of export earnings and is considered as top 3 countries producing the highest volume of pineapple.
