- If a region has less than five active grower registrants, it shall be disqualified from the Challenge.
- An ‘active’ grower is defined as someone who has completed all the details in the online registration form and performed the required social media activity.
9. How Winners Are Judged
Regional winners will be determined based on:
- Kilograms of grain produced per millimetre of in‑season rainfall, calculated for the period 1 April to 31 October, using data from the nearest Bureau of Meteorology weather station; and
- Level of social media activity and engagement throughout the season
A weighting will be applied between yield performance and social participation, as determined by FMC.

From the Regional Winners:
- One (1) National Winner; and

- Up to fourteen (14) Regional Winners
will be selected using the same judging criteria.

Each Regional Winner and their nominated agronomist will receive a branded merchandise pack (e.g. stubby holders, esky, camp chairs) valued at approximately $500 each.
National Runner‑Up
The National Runner‑Up and their nominated agronomist will each receive a branded merchandise pack valued at approximately $500, plus a $1,000 travel voucher.

The National Winner will have a proportion of their chosen grain converted into their chosen brew by a contracted brewery in Sydney and will receive a 2–3 nights Sydney experience, including return flights, accommodation, a brewery tour, a tour of FMC’s manufacturing site and selected activities (partner included). The nominated agronomist and their partner will also be included.
