Zironar® biofungicide/bionematicide

Zironar® biofungicide/bionematicide is a root-colonizing biological used at planting that provides season-long protection against critical fungal diseases and soil nematodes. It is compatible with conventional at-plant applications and provides biostimulant effects to help boost yields.

At-Plant IconAn At-Plant strategy starts as soon as you begin thinking about next season's input decisions. Smart crop protection considerations start then, too. Learn how an At-Plant strategy can pay off at Harvest. Get started.

Quick Facts

  • Protects against season-long fungal diseases and soil nematodes. This includes diseases caused by Rhizoctonia solani and Fusarium spp. as well as lesion nematodes and root knot nematodes throughout the growing season.
  • This spore-based product creates a biochemical and physical barrier to improve plant health and put plants on a trajectory towards increased yield.
  • Provides an extended period of protection beyond what is typically achieved by standard seed treatment packages.
  • Improves root health for enhanced vigor, which is especially beneficial under periods of drought.
  • Liquid soluble concentrate formulation that can be mixed with water and liquid

    soil-applied insecticides.
  • No preharvest or re-entry intervals. No known resistance issues, no crop rotation or

    plant-back restrictions.
  • Offers a two-year shelf life and is highly compatible with other pesticides, fertilizers and seed treatments.
  • Trial results have shown to help increase corn yields by an average of 5 bu/A.

ON-FARM TRIAL RESULTS

Product Overview

Zironar biofungicide/bionematicide mitigates disease stress by providing protection against Rhizoctonia solani and Fusarium spp. as well as season-long challenges like lesion nematodes and root knot nematodes. It provides an additive benefit to nematicide, fungicide or synthetic seed treatment products when corn is struggling with plant stressors.

The spore-based product is triggered by seed germination and colonizes roots, creating a chemical and physical barrier. This creates a biofilm that consumes root exudates and competes to exclude other soil microbes. Improves root health for enhanced vigor, which is especially beneficial under periods of drought.

Zironar biofungicide/bionematicide also provides an extended period of protection beyond what is typically achieved by standard seed treatment packages and is shelf stable for two years, making it an excellent tool to biologically enhance plant performance.

Trials show improved plant vigor, and more robust root branching. Increased root branching also helps to improve water use efficiency during periods of drought.  Field trials have shown to help increase corn yields by an average of a 5 bu./A.
