WHY CHOOSE ANTHEM FLEX HERBICIDE IN COTTON?
ANTHEM FLEX HERBICIDE IMPREGNATION ON DRY FERTILIZER
Best Management Practices
- Mix a 1:1 ratio of Anthem® Flex herbicide and water to create slurry.
- Apply through nozzles that provide even distribution of herbicide on fertilizer granules.
- Coat Anthem Flex herbicide on dry fertilizer uniformly, avoid dry fertilizers that contain ammonium nitrate.
- Do not over rotate rotary drum mixers.
- Do not exceed 1 gallon of spray solution per ton of dry fertilizer. The addition of MAP may aid in drying, to avoid prills dissolving.
Cleanout Procedures
- Declining weight batch mixers pose the least risk for contamination of herbicide into the next load of fertilizer.
- Having separate hoses/nozzles that apply only Anthem Flex herbicide is recommended.
- One nontreated load of fertilizer should be run through declining weight batch mixers before fertilizer application on non-labeled crops.
- Two nontreated loads of fertilizer should be run through rotary drum mixers before fertilizer application on non-labeled crops.
