Boost Winter Wheat Performance with Avodigen® Biofungicide / Bionematicide

Avodigen® biofungicide/bionematicide is an EPA-registered biopesticide applied as a seed treatment labeled on many row crops including cereal grains. This seed treatment contains two Bacillus species proprietary to FMC: FMCH001 (B. Licheniformis) and FMCH002 (B. subtilis). Antifungal compounds produced by these bacteria perforate fungal cell membranes and create zones of inhibition, as well as induce systemic immune response to plant pathogens. In addition, Avodigen biofungicide/bionematicide colonizes the rhizosphere for season-long effects. Avodigen biofungicide/bionematicide is compatible with synthetic seed treatments and is very stable both on the seed and in the jug, featuring a minimum 2-year shelf life we no special storage conditions required.

GET WINTER WHEAT OFF TO A GREAT START

The bacteria in Avodigen biofungicide/bionematicide protect against early-season diseases of wheat seedlings like Rhizoctonia solani and promote the formation of a healthy root structure. Fields treated with Avodigen biofungicide/bionematicide exhibit improved emergence, uniformity and vigor heading into winter. At green up, Avodigen biofungicide/bionematicide treated plants are healthier and average ~2 extra tillers per plant for increased yield potential

Recommendations and Considerations

  • Avodigen biofungicide/bionematicide is shelf and seed stable for 2 years.
  • Avodigen biofungicide/bionematicide is uncolored and must be used with a seed colorant or synthetic seed treatments containing colorant.
