Dr Paul Horne of IPM Technologies talks about the different pests in forage brassicas and how to integrate beneficial species and insecticides into the program to gain good control. The beneficial species include predatory insects that feed on the different pests and parasites that can lay eggs in grubs or mummify pests. “We find that predators are often really good at cleaning up a pest population that's higher than you want but the parasites are really good at maintaining control through the, in the longer term."
