Beneficial insects in Forage Brassica crops

Dr Paul Horne of IPM Technologies talks about the challenges of identifying beneficial insect species in a forage brassica crop. The eggs of ladybirds look like Cabbage white butterfly eggs and so it does take a little bit to get used to what you are looking for. “If people want to promote, or encourage beneficial species, particularly parasitic wasps, providing them with a nectar source is one of the easiest things to do and it does make a big difference.”
