Emerging Pest Update: Western Bean Cutworm

The Western bean cutworm (WBC) has rapidly expanded its corn-damaging ways. WBC’s most notable damage occurs due to larvae kernel feeding during ear development, and studies indicate yield losses of 15-20% when multiple larvae are present on ears. Join FMC Technical Service Manager Bruce Steward outside of Choctaw, OK, as he provides an overview of the pest including what to look for and how to control its destruction of your corn acres.
