Winter Wheat Disease Control in OK, KS and TX
Wheat can respond remarkably well to a high fungicide management program that reduces yield losses to disease. Topguard® and Topguard® EQ fungicides both contain the active ingredient flutriafol, the most systemic and longest residual DMI (demethlyation inhibitor) fungicide on the market, giving unsurpassed disease control in winter wheat. Topguard EQ fungicide is the only premix that combines flutriafol with a strobilurin fungicide – azoxystrobin – providing multiple modes of action to help manage disease resistance in wheat.

Topguard Fungicide “5 on 5” Research Results
University, private research contractor and demonstration trials have shown that Topguard fungicide at 5 fl. oz./A applied at green up (Feekes 3-7) and then followed by Topguard fungicide at 5 fl. oz./A applied at flag leaf (Feekes 8-10)1 provides affordable, effective control of important wheat diseases and, ultimately, increases yields. This program approach to managing diseases through the whole growing season is referred to as Topguard “5 on 5.” Diseases such as common and stripe rust, powdery mildew, leaf and glume blotches, and tan spot1 are controlled by this program.
