Cutworm

Further Information

Click to open/close

The black cutworm (Agrotis ipsilon) is a soil-dwelling pest that conceals itself beneath the soil surface during the day and actively feeds on young seedlings at night. The larvae cause severe damage by severing the stems of seedlings near the soil line, causing them to wilt, fall over, and leading to significant crop stand loss.
