White Root Rot

Further Information

Click to open/close

White root rot (Rigidoporus microporus) is a highly destructive root disease affecting plantation crops such as rubber and oil palm. The fungus infects the root system by producing thick, white mycelial strands that adhere to the root surface. This leads to extensive root decay, leaf yellowing, defoliation, and eventual collapse and death of the plant.
