Further Information
Click to open/close
Stigmina leaf spot (Stigmina palmivora) is a fungal disease affecting palm species, particularly oil palm and coconut palms. Infection is characterized by small, slightly raised, dark brown to black spots on older fronds. As the disease progresses, these lesions enlarge and coalesce into extensive necrotic patches, leading to premature frond desiccation and a reduced photosynthetic capacity.
