Leaf blight is a destructive disease caused by bacterial or fungal pathogens affecting foliage in major crops such as rice, corn, and potato. Symptoms typically feature water-soaked lesions that rapidly expand into large brown to grayish necrotic burned-like patches, leading to premature leaf desiccation and severe reduction in photosynthetic capacity.
