Fusarium wilt (Fusarium oxysporum) is a soil-borne fungal disease that attacks the vascular system of various crops including chili, tomato, and banana. The fungus infects the roots and clogs the xylem vessels, causing gradual yellowing of lower leaves, temporary wilting during daytime, and eventual permanent wilting and death of the entire plant.
