Dry rot (Fusarium solani / Fusarium oxysporum / Lasiodiplodia theobromae) is a disease affecting tubers, stems, or fruits in crops such as potato, cassava, and cocoa. The infection causes tissue dehydration, shrinkage, and hardening, resulting in decay without producing a foul odor or excessive ooze. Cavities lined with white or grayish fungal mycelium often develop within the infected tissues.
