For our new Technology Center in Schaffhausen (Switzerland) we are looking for a

Global Product Manager, Insect Control Products (m/f/d)

 

In this role you are responsible for leading the strategic management of FMC Insect Control Products, integrating critical strategic aspects including development, regulatory, production, supply and marketing, leading to successful commercialization and life-cycle management of customer focused offerings. 

You interact with global, regional, and key country leadership and participates in the key business planning and product innovation processes.

What you do with us

  • You serve as the first contact regarding any issues related to the product and has a high-level knowledge of commercial, regulatory, supply chain and development matters for the product.
  • You lead a cross-functional product team to develop and implement global product strategies that are aligned with key stakeholders.
  • You drive and support the optimization of the financial performance of assigned assets and support the development of pricing strategies with regional marketing.
  • You provide inputs to and/or participates in third party discussions as they relate to access or sale of products and actives to support the business strategy.
  • You provide input to key stakeholders to support discovery targets, development projects, capacity planning, strategic sourcing, product stewardship etc.
  • You maintain a current and comprehensive understanding of the competitive landscape as it relates to assigned product(s) and interpret the implications to the current and future business.

Your qualifications

  • Bachelor, Master or MBA in marketing, business management or agronomy required and 8 or more years of experience in crop protection related global or regional business
  • Experience in developing and implementing a strategic and market plan over a long-term planning cycle.
  • Experience in balancing a wide diversity of needs/activities to create the most profitable balance between costs, revenue and cash.
  • Strong track record of synthesizing complex information from diverse sources into understandable, clear, effective communication to diverse audience.
  • Experience in applying understanding of customer needs to develop value propositions that appeal to targeted customers.
  • Experience in communicating to all stakeholders the tradeoffs between customer needs and profitable selling.
  • Experience in applying the understanding of external competitive threats, changing regulatory dynamics, new disruptive technologies on asset profitability to translate market intelligence into decisive actions to drive business directional changes.
  • Able to travel domestically and internationally up to 25%.
