The Global Procurement Function is a key enabler of the top and bottom-line performance of FMC. Our team is comprised of professionals positioned around the world to partner with business leaders to ensure our customers’ expectations are exceeded and our vendors view FMC as a customer of choice. Our teams support all aspects of FMC in the making, selling and delivery of products to its customers. We are looking for the right person to help us drive our Procurement organization to the next level.

What You Do With Us

FMC is currently looking for a highly competent Global Category Manager, responsible for managing the commercial and strategic sourcing activity related to FMC’s Biologicals Portfolio worldwide. You will work closely with FMC’s Technical, Supply chain & Operations teams, as well as FMC’s Global Marketing team to help support the long-term strategy for growth  .

  • You will develop a strategic End-To-End supply chain network that is intentionally designed to balance efficiency, speed, and service.
  • You will partner with key stakeholders across the Plant Health organization, Research & Development, Supply Chain, Operations, Legal and other functions to configure the most cost-effective and most resilient supply network. Influence decisions of product & supplier development to ensure:
  • alignment with long-term growth strategy,
  • security of supply,
  • long term product profitability,
  • sustainability
  • You develop Market Intelligence to inform the best set of actions in configuring the supply network.
  • You understand, model and conduct cost-analysis activities (Total Cost of Ownership) in partnership with finance, Operation and Technical to identify saving opportunities.
  • You lead Contract negotiation ensuring the most beneficial commercial agreements with suppliers in line with the strategy.
  • You develop and proactively manage supplier relationships and performance.

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, and a minimum of 5 years (4 years with MBA) work experience. Majority of work experience should relate to Procurement.
  • Knowledge of the biotechnology/fermentation industry and supply/manufacturing landscape.
  • Strategic sourcing expertise within complex global organizations.
  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills, a proven influencer.
  • Demonstrated experience managing senior internal stakeholders and senior external supply partners.
  • Outstanding analytical thought leadership.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast pace, constantly changing environment.
  • Willingness to travel locally and internationally when required.
