FALL PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

Growers who follow the FMC Fall and Spring Residual Soybean Herbicide Assurance recommendations at the minimum specified rate depending on use timing – see table below – will be eligible for up to a $15.00/A assurance payment if the treatment does not maintain commercially acceptable 90% control of labeled weeds versus an untreated check after an appropriate POST treatment is applied in the spring through July 15. The assurance claim must be reported within 30 days after the in-crop post application is applied.

Fall applications must include labeled rates of *Roundup PowerMAX® herbicide + 1.5 pt./A of 2,4-D or 16 oz./A of dicamba to control emerged weeds. Spring applications to no-till/minimum till fields must contain 2,4-D LV4 @ 16 oz./A or dicamba at labeled rates to control emerged broadleaf weeds.

Apply after Oct. 1, 2021

Following a fall application, a spring application applied either preplant, preemergence, PPI, or early post is required as part of two-pronged residual approach. Choose a preplant/preemergence product from the list below OR apply Anthem® MAXX herbicide as an early post application. If a product containing an ALS (Group 2) herbicide is used in the fall application, it is NOT recommended that you follow again with an ALS (Group 2) containing herbicide in the spring preplant/preemergence application.

1Due to widespread glyphosate resistance in weeds, glyphosate must be tank mixed with other appropriate broadleaf herbicide(s) to attain post weed control according to local recommendations. Glyphosate alone cannot be used as the only post herbicide program.

Some FMC products covered by this assurance program may not be approved for tank mixing with labeled over-the top formulations of dicamba, Enlist One herbicide or Enlist Duo herbicide at the time of this document publishing. Check appropriate tank-mix product websites for up-to-date list of approved tank-mix-partners and labeling requirements.

Up to $15.00/A

* Or equivalent glyphosate/glufosinate/dicamba brand at the label rate.
** Labeled, full rates of postemergence broadleaf herbicides are required to control emerged weeds.
*** Be sure to check individual product labels and DO NOT exceed the maximum total use rate allowed per year when using the same product more than once in a 12-month period.

Program Requirements

  1. Both fall and spring applications must follow label use rates, application timing and be tank mixed with appropriate burndown herbicides to control emerged weeds.
  2. An early post application of glyphosate, glufosinate, dicamba, or Enlist® product (according to soybean trait tolerance) is required after the spring season residual application. If unacceptable control is achieved after the post application is made, then FMC will provide appropriate assurance funds to help achieve weed control.
  3. Products must be applied according to label use directions and in accordance with local FMC recommendations. Make sure all products listed are fully labeled and approved for use before use. At time of this program, some dicamba products may not be approved for use for 2021 use season.
  4. Growers/retailers must provide proof that all products were applied at appropriate timing where sequential application programs are recommended.
  5. Record and save product lot or batch numbers.
